Here are some tips for some materials:
Ceramics and glass:
Jars of the two materials are almost same in the way of caring. For glass and ceramic jars, first release jar lid and then wash with warm soapy water so that the fat cookies are clean. Drain and wipe until it dries.
To wash the special jar lid, firstly see if there is rubber, remove the rubber then clean the jar. Wipe until it dries properly. Wrap the ceramic jar with dry paper so that it will not be dull easily as stored. For the lid it should be wrapped with paper or plastic so that it will not be easily corroded (for iron).
Plastic and acrylic:
Both material are burst-resistant, but easy to be scratched and it saves smell. Therefore soak the jar in hot water with a little soap for a moment so that all the fat can be dissolved along with the inherent smell of plastic and acrylic. Rinse with clean water and dry.
Tin:
Can material are easily rusted. After it is washed with warm soapy water and rinsed, the jar should be dry in the sun to dry properly. Cover the lid with a piece of paper so that it will not easily be rusted. To make the jar does not rust or dull when stored, make sure the storage cupboard is completely dry. Do not give mothballs in the storage closet because the smell of camphor will scented tightly to the jar.
